Dancing Fingers Learning Center (DFLC) will hold its first annual spring concert tonight at Calvary Temple Assembly of God church in Lepuapua (Leone).

More than fifty young musicians will be on stage to showcase their musical skills. The Center’s first concert since it re-opened and moved to the Tafuna Industrial Park was last year in December.

Reverend Neemia-Lafaele of the Seventh Day Adventist in Afao will offer the opening prayer, while Mrs. Marissa Mariner-Taamu serves as the narrator.

A total of 16 students, who range from beginners to early advance level, will give piano solos.  Sisters Iris and Leila Penitusi, both first-year violinists, will perform a duet while, Lynelle Mareko (clarinet) and Heavenly Tua’au (flute) will perform alongside with the Center’s 50-piece concert orchestra.

Calvary Temple’s Strings of Psalms, an advance ensemble, will perform a tribute to all mothers as they celebrate Mother’s Day this Sunday, May 14, 2017.

Douglas Brandt (clarinet) is the guest artist who will perform “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from The Lion King. And classical pianist, Ms. Malaea Estherlene McFall, will give a moving performance of Liszt’s Liebestraum.

Governor Lolo Matalasi Moliga and First Lady Cynthia Malala Moliga, the Honorary Patrons of Arts for Dancing Fingers, will be attending the concert along with families, friends, and supporters.

As a tradition, First Lady Cynthia will personally congratulate the performers during the curtain call.

The concert starts at 6:00 p.m. and the public is invited to attend.  Admission is free.
