Vikings still undefeated in Boys Varsity

Faga’itua is still undefeated in the ASHSAA Boys soccer Varsity division, going 5-for-5 for 15 points and the No. 1 position in the standings.

Second to them is Tafuna with 14 points, followed by the Wildcats with 9, Crusaders with 9, Samoana with 8, Leone with 6, Kanana Fou with 5 and Iakina with 3 to round out the standings.

Tafuna and Leone are not eligible for the postseason due to bans administered by ASHSAA. This means that the top four teams for the playoffs are Faga’itua (No. 1, 15 points), Nu’uuli Voc-Tech (No. 3, 9 points), Fa’asao-Marist (No. 4, 9 points) and Samoana (No. 5, 8 points).

This means a new champion will be crowned at the end of the season with Leone no longer qualified for the postseason.

All games last week were postponed by ASHSAA due to the Easter weekend.

In games played on March 31 it was Vikings 4, Sharks 2; Lions 4, Wildcats 0 and Warriors 1, Crusaders 1.
