Lions Club members get together in California

Dale Long, Teri Hunkin and Mike Sala.

Concord, CALIFORNIA — While visiting his family in Portland, Oregon, Mike Sala heard through the "coconut wireless" that his Lion brother, Dale Long, was recovering from a stroke in Concord, California. When he heard that news, Mike immediately booked a flight to the Bay Area to visit Dale and his wife, Patty.

Mike, who is the Charter President of the Lions Club of Pago Pago, brought with him a message of friendship from the Lions. In a very special visit on Sunday, May 19, he conveyed to Dale the love and respect of the Lions of Pago Pago, where Dale had joined the community service organization, and been an active member.

Seen here together after several years apart are long time friends and members of the Lions Club, (r-l) Mike Sala, Teri Hunkin and Dale Long. Mike declared that Lions are "friends for life."
