![DMWR representatives distribute fish to the community on the island of Aunuʻu after they had been sampled for critical life history data. NOAA Fisheries, AS- DMWR and local fishermen in a community partnership effort recently finished a bottomfish survey in the territory to provide better information to support sustainable fisheries management. Combined, the samples collected during this year's survey are sufficient to start drafting life history profiles for all six bottomfish management unit species. The NOAA Fisheries team is now processing all of the samples in Honolulu.
