ASHSAA Boys Volleyball season begins today in Faga'itua

Today is the start of the American Samoa High School Athletic Association (ASHSAA) Boys Varsity Volleyball season, and the Faga’itua Vikings who are the defending champions, will be looking to defend their championship title by hosting the first game of the season against the Tafuna Warriors, with a scheduled starting time of 4:30 p.m.

 

The other two Varsity games scheduled on this opening day will be played at the Kanana Fou gymnasium where the Iakina Adventist Academy Saints will take on the Samoana Sharks with a scheduled stating time of 3:30 p.m., that will be followed by the Leone Lions versus the host team Kanana Fou Stallions.

 

Tomorrow’s games will have the Warriors hosting the Nu’uuli VocTech Wildcats, while the Stallions will be hosting the Saints. These games have a scheduled starting time of 4:30 p.m.

 

Friday will have the Wildcats making a trip east to Faga’itua, as the Lions will be at the home of the Warriors.

 

This Saturday’s games will all be played at Tafuna High School, where the Sharks meet the Lions in game one, while game two will have the Sharks playing the Wildcats. The third game will be the Wildcats versus the Lions. The scheduled starting time for Saturday’s games will be 9:00 a.m.

 

The ASHSAA Boys Junior Varsity Volleyball season will start this coming Saturday at Tafuna High School with a scheduled starting time of 8:00 a.m. There are six scheduled Junior Varsity games on Saturday that will be played between the Varsity games. This year’s defending Junior Varsity Champions are the Warriors who dominated last year’s Junior Varsity Division. All Junior Varsity games are played on Saturday mornings. This year Junior Varsity teams will be the Warriors, Sharks, Vikings, Lions, Wildcats and Stallions.
