DOH conducts clean up of Fagaalu area

Last week, following the devastation caused by the heavy rains of Tuesday, July 29, employees of the Dept. of Health conducted a much needed clean up of the Fagaalu area, ending at Fagaalu Park.

DOH Public Information Officer Fatima Langkilde said the clean-up was very successful and is part of their contribution to keeping the island clean and safe.

Earlier in the week, DMWR, along with representatives and officials from the AS Environmental Protection Agency, the Dept. of Education, the Territorial Energy Office, and the Criminal Justice Planning Agency all came together to pick up trash and debris that had accumulated on the shore and in the ocean in the Fagaloa area.

The public is urged to stop littering and work together to keep American Samoa clean and beautiful.
