William Gabbard (center) was recently promoted to Sergeant Major, U.S Army.  Gabbard has been a member of the United States Army Field Band in Washington, D.C since 1987.  

Raised in American Samoa, he is the son of the  late MSgt. Ben Gabbard and Agnes (Yandall) Gabbard of Leloaloa and a 1977 graduate of Samoana High School.
