Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — A son of American Samoa, Rodney Te’o has been selected for a position with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the Information Technology Branch.

He will be resigning as the director of Information Technology for Fort Hall — a replica of a fort that was built in 1834 as a fur trading post now an historical site in southeastern Idaho.

The 2000 graduate of Nu’uuli Voc-Tech High School is from the village of Pava’ia’i and Lauli’i and is the son of Peter Te’o and Ateliana Toilolo.

During a phone conversation with Mr.Te’o this past week he told Samoa News that he’s very honored to be chosen.

After working for Fort Hall for 15 years, Te’o said he’s ready for the new challenge.

“To be honest, I’m very excited for the challenge. It’s a different level of IT and I feel it’s an honor to be part of this,” Mr. Te’o said, declining to supple a photo of himself due to his new job with the FBI.
