If you are expecting a tax refund and did not receive it, call the Tax Office for further information and assistance. “Do not visit the office,” the statement said.

Even before the official announcement came from Reese, word had already spread Thursday morning through the coconut wireless that refund checks would be distributed Friday.

Meanwhile, Treasury provided yesterday data on tax-refund batch two released on. Mar. 22, and this was for those who filed between Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.

Total for batch 2 was $1.5 million — with $351,885 paid with local funds and more than $1.14 million in ACTC.
