Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — In a Oct. 21st memorandum, the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Tuimavave Tauapa’i Laupola informed cabinet members of the government’s Island Wide Clean-up for the month of October is set for Friday, Oct. 29th

And that all departments, agencies, offices and authorities are expected to participate in the monthly clean up.

The clean up was first initiated by the Lolo Administration, and is coordinated by the Island Wide Clean-up Committee (IWCC), which is co-chaired by the director of the American Samoa Environmental Protection Agency and the executive director of the American Samoa Power Authority.

“Your continued support of the IWCC is greatly appreciated. Your dedication and commitment to this initiative has helped to improve the beauty of our natural environment and the quality of life of our people,” he said. “Let’s continue to work together to Keep America Samoa Clean and Beautiful.”
