Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The government’s monthly Territorial Wide Clean Up is set for this Friday, after it was postponed from last week Friday.

In a Nov. 14 memo, Gov. Lolo Matalasi Moliga informs cabinet members that the change of date for the clean-up, which involves all ASG agencies, aligns with the schedule set by the Island Wide Clean up Committee (which is co-chaired by ASPA and ASEPA).

ASG agencies have their designated areas for clean up, that usually starts before sun rise and the clean up also coincide with Thanksgiving 2019 on Thursday, Nov. 28. The goal, according to ASG officials, is to ensure the community is clean especially for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.

Meanwhile, the government is also calling on the private sector and villages to take part in the clean up, by cleaning their surroundings.
