Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — In its latest health advisory this week, the Health Department announced that all DoH Well-Child Clinics are open for Back-To-School vaccination updates during regular workings hours — Tafuna from Monday to Friday and the clinics at Amouli, Leone and Fagaalu from Monday to Thursday.

Parents are asked to take their school-age children along with their immunization cards to update their immunization before schools starts. “No one will be allowed in the classroom if their shots are not up to date,” said DoH.

“As we gear up for schools reopening,” DoH asked parents and guardians to “remind you children to practice hand hygiene, social distance from others if sick, wear a mask if needed or stay home until they feel better.”

“Another way to boost your immune system is to stay fit and eat a balanced diet,” said DoH. For more information call DoH hotline 219 or its Facebook page for daily updates.

While the public schools’ opening for the new school year 2021-2022 was postponed to Sept. 7th, private schools already started their new school year — at the beginning of this week.
