Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Bad weather on Monday night, resulted in arriving passengers being forced to stay onboard the aircraft for two hours and delayed the Hawaiian Airlines return flight, which departed yesterday afternoon.
Passengers on board posted on social media complaining about waiting out the rain as there is no towable boarding steps available at the local airport that allows them shelter from the rain.
The flight landed at around 9pm, and they were only able to deplane around 11pm.
On Monday, Hawaiian Airlines issued a public notice that due to severe weather and crew legalities, the delayed flight was scheduled to depart on Tuesday, Feb 21 at 3:45.
