Bluesky sponsors PHS’ NaviTechers trip to the 2024 MATE ROV Competition

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The Pacific Horizons School’s NaviTechers will be representing American Samoa at the 2024 MATE ROV World Championships. The MATE ROV World Championships will highlight 82 teams from around the globe, the event will take place in Kingsport, Tennessee on June 20- 22.

The MATE ROV Competition is an underwater robotics challenge that engages a global community of learners each year.

The Pacific Horizons NaviTechers have put in a lot of work to build their robot for this competition, working on weekends and school holidays to complete their model.

This will be the first time American Samoa has been invited to this international event which is why Bluesky is thrilled to show its support through their donation of $5,000 to the Pacific Horizons School’s NaviTechers.

Bluesky noted it is glad to support the Pacific Horizons School’s Navitechers by aiding in sending the students to attend the 2024 MATE ROV World Championships Competition, investing in the future of our children.

It pointed out that it takes pride in providing opportunities for the territory’s young boys and girls whether it being through sports or academics, allowing them to gain experience to pave their future.
