Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Ella Gurr has been named Executive Director of the transition team for the incoming Pulaalii Nikolao Pula and Pulu Ae Ae Jr administration with Lewis Wolman named Deputy.

The transition meeting took place at the Gov. H. Rex Lee Auditorium, according to a handout prepared for the initial transition meeting that took place on Monday, Dec. 23. Alvina Lutu is the transition team leader for ASG. 

Former general manager of StarKist Samoa, Brett Butler is the transition lead person in departments with financial responsibilities such as Treasury, Budget Office, American Rescue Plan Act Office and American Samoa Economic Development Agency.

Leaders for some of the major departments are Mary Taufetee for the Department of Education, Feo Lagafuaina for Department of Public Safety, Leafagoalii Annie Amosa for Department of Public Works, Patricia Suesue for Department of Health, and Alvina Lutu for the Office of Procurement.

For the authorities, Lavatai Reno Vivao is the lead for ASPA, Vaito’a Hans Langkilde for ASTCA, Brigette Moala for the ASCC, and Fred Ledoux is the transition team lead for the LBJ Hospital.

For the Governor’s Office, where Ms. Gurr is the lead for the transition team, Luisa Kuaea was named co-lead. Kenn Kuaea is the lead for Office of the Attorney General, Public Defender’s Office and Office of the Administrative Law Judge.

Kiso Skelton is listed as the Executive Assistant for Governor-elect Pula, while Faasilitamaitai Iuli is the Executive Secretary for the Governor-elect.

Faatigafua Fuatagavi is Executive Assistant for Lt. Governor-elect Pulu, and Sesilia McKenzie is Pulu’s Executive Secretary.

Fatima Langkilde is named as the Press Secretary, and also transition team lead for the Office of Public Information.
