Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — In the latest health advisory, the Health Department asks the public to call the DoH COVID-19 Hotline at 219, if “you or a loved one is homebound and wants to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.”

DOH explained that homebound individuals are those who have limited mobility such as the physically disabled, bedridden, bed or wheelchair bound, and the elderly who may have difficulty coming into the regular vaccine clinic sites.

It also announced that the next scheduled Drive-Thru COVID-19 vaccination clinic is scheduled for Saturday, May 15th at the Pago Pago International Airport parking lot.

Please call 219 to register and provide your hospital number. You will need to fill out a consent form and bring it with you on the day of the drive through. The last two drive-thru clinics were very successful and popular for residents, as they don’t have to come out of their cars.

A reminder that the three vaccination sites — DYWA facility in Tafuna, A.P. Lutali Executive Office Building in Utulei and the Gov. H. Rex Lee Auditorium will open today from 8a.m to 3p.m. for a COVID-19 vaccination.

Regarding flu shots, DOH said these shots are still available at the Tafuna Clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays or at the following Pop-Up Sites on Saturdays: Laufou Shopping Center, Fagatogo Market and Leota Guest House-  Pago Pago.

DOH asks that the public wait 14 days before or after your COVID-19 vaccine to get “your other flu or pneumonia vaccine”.

Call DOH COVID-19 Hotline 219 or 633-5871. Check ASDOH Facebook page for daily updates.
