Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The Health Department is offering after-hour immunization clinics so that children receive their updated shots before schools starts next month.  This week, DoH launched the “Don’t Wait, Vaccinate” for the “Back to School Vaccination Campaign”, which is perfect for working parents and guardians who are unable to go to DoH clinics during normal operating hours.

After hour clinics at DoH health centers in Amouli, Leon and Tafuna is 4p.m. to 7p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesday.

“Parents/ Guardians — our children's health and wellness should be priority. Please help us protect our children from preventable childhood diseases, like measles and mumps and so many others — by updating their shots,” said a release from the DoH Immunization Program.

A majority of private schools start the new school year 2022-2023 later next month while public schools commence on Sept. 6 with public school teachers returning next month.

For more information on the immunization program and vaccination programs call the DoH hotline at 219 or 633-5872.
