Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA —The popular Drive-Thru vaccination clinic for COVID-19 is set for today, Saturday, Sept. 25th at the Pago Pago International Airport parking lot from 7:30a.m. to 1p.m., according to Health Department officials during a DoH news conference on Tuesday.

This clinic is popular for the fact that people can stay in their cars and many residents had shown up during the drive-thru clinics earlier this year. DoH requested the community to take advantage of the drive-thru clinic by “calling 219 to save a slot for you and your loved ones.”

At the time of the news conference on Tuesday, American Samoa’s fully vaccinated rate is at 61.6% but still short of the goal of 80% or more and health officials urged residents who have not gotten their shots to do so as soon as possible.

“We continue to urge our community to get the vaccine if you haven’t already and help protect our community from COVID-19,” said DoH in its latest health advisory. Additionally, Oct. 15th is the last day to receive the $100 cash incentive for either the first or second dose.

Furthermore, all DoH health clinics and facilities including COVID-19 vaccine sites will now require people to wear a face mask before receiving any services.

A Manu’a islands vaccination clinic was held Thurday at Faleasao on Ta’u island and the Tutuila clinics on Friday were held at DYWA Gym in Pago Pago and Tafuna, the Amouli and Leone Clinics and Fagaalu Well Baby clinic.

Call DoH hotline - 219 - for more information on the clinics.
