Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Fa’asao Marist High School celebrated the graduation of its Class of 2024 with a ceremony at the Department of Youth and Women’s Affairs (DYWA) in Tafuna on Saturday, June 8, 2024. A total of fifty-nine graduates received their diplomas under the theme: “Commit your plans to the Lord and you will be successful.”

Families and community members gathered to witness the great accomplishments of the graduates, with Governor Lemanu P. S. Mauga offering the keynote address at the Commencement ceremony.
In his speech, Lemanu challenged the graduates with a question, "Are you ready to step out into the world?"

He expressed his confidence in their preparation, stating, "My response, yes. You’ve been nourished, taught by teachers and parents to prepare you for tomorrow. We have come to this day."

The Governor also emphasized the importance of the graduates' spiritual journey, reminding them of their foundation.

"You have attended a church school. Spiritual lessons have been a priority. Don’t worry, everything you'll go through tomorrow you have been prepared for. Don’t forget that you are Samoan and you are a Fa'asao-Marist graduate."

There are two co-Valedictorians, Elizabeth Tuitasi and Princess Chiselle Franco Viesca, and a Salutatorian Wendy Lynn Numongong Parango. Both gave inspiring addresses highlighting the resilience and unity of the Class of 2024.

A special award was given to Nari Florence Elizabeth Zandrowski, who received the General Excellence Award for her outstanding academic performance.

Other awards and scholarships were also presented, honoring the hard work and dedication of the students.
