Final flight information for travelers on the Monday medical flight

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — In a statement last Thursday afternoon, the American Samoa Medicaid State Agency - or Medicaid Office - announced important flight update information for all passengers traveling on the Medicaid charter flight tomorrow, Feb. 1st - which is Pago Pago to Honolulu outbound segment of the first repatriation flight.

Things to do today, Sunday, Jan. 30th:

• At 12noon - go to the Medicaid Office to submit your Health Questionnaire to receive your QR code for Hawaii

• Between 1p.m. to 3p.m., the Health Department Tafuna Community Health Center will give the COVID-19 tests for passengers transiting to the US mainland and needing test results for their final destinations.

For tomorrow, Monday, Feb. 1st:

• Passengers are required to check in at the Hawaiian Airlines counter between 6:30AM-10:30AM.

• 11:00AM-1:45PM - check-in at the Security Gate.

“Hawaiian Airlines will close the security gate precisely at 1:45PM. There will be no exceptions, if you miss the closing time, you will miss the flight,” Medicaid office said and advised passengers to “say goodbye to your loved ones at home.”

Additionally, the Pago Pago International Airport will close at 10:30AM on Monday to all non-passengers. Only passengers and airport employees will be allowed at the airport after 10:30AM. There will only be a drop-off at the curb for those coming to check in for the security line.

The outbound medical charter - Hawaiian Airlines flight number 924 - is estimated to depart Pago Pago at 2:45p.m. Feb. 1st and arrival in Honolulu at 9:45p.m.
