Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The Department of Health Veterinary Services, in partnership with Coconut Mutts (their mission is to improve animal welfare in American Samoa) and community organizations, is offering a FREE Dog Spay & Neuter Village Outreach Clinic from October 18th to November 19th in19 villages.

This FREE program aims to control the stray dog population and promote community safety. Dr. Kathleen Riley was here in American Samoa in January 2020 volunteering her time and is again returning for 5 weeks. She was instrumental in providing recommendations to former Governor Lolo and Lt. Governor Lemanu, to transfer the VET Clinic under the DOH.

In 2021, the transfer was implemented. LET'S TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS FREE PROGRAM WHILE DR. RILEY IS IN TOWN.

Appointments are required — no walk-ins.

To schedule, call 699-9445 or visit the Tafuna Veterinary Clinic. Female dogs are the priority, with a limit of 3 dogs per owner.

For more information, call 699-9445 or visit us on Facebook. Please review the 19 villages and enjoy some of the photos of last year's Clinic when Dr. Bret Grover was here.
