Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Young students at Lupelele Elementary school who are enrolled in the Extended School Services (ESY) program, were in for a treat on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 when they were joined by the American Samoa Community College’s TED/ASDOE Outreach Recruiter Ms. Faaletaua Saili who acted out for them the story of a bunny rabbit in the book titled “Guess How Much I Love You” by author Sam McBratney.

The students got into the spirit of the story with paper rabbit ears and a hopping competition, to see how high they could jump.  Saili was a volunteer for the school’s Read-a-Long session and she left quite an impression on the students.

Another volunteer for the sessions is Tualauta faipule, Larry Sanitoa, who is a regular guest at the school’s Extended School Services (ESY) program.

Rep. Sanitoa, regaled the young Lupelele Elementary school students who are enrolled in this year’s summer Extended School Services (ESY) program, with stories about earth from a book titled “This is Our Earth” by author Laura Lee Bens, during their Read-a-Loud session yesterday, July 8, 2021.

Representative Sanitoa was given a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ from the Lupelele Elementary School to honor his contribution to this year’s Summer ESY program.  [photos:  Lupelele Elementary]
