In honor of Sherry Sele — Bluesky presents donation to Hope House
Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Bluesky Communications on Tuesday donated $3,000 to the Diocese of Samoa Pago Pago Hope House along with turkeys for Thanksgiving tomorrow in honor of the late Sherry Sale, “the voice and face” of Bluesky.
Sele passed away last month while serving as Bluesky Communications Customer Service Manager.
Bluesky Chief Executive Officer, Justin Tuaisosopo told Samoa News in an interview said that they decided to donate to Hope House as this was close to Sherry’s heart.
“[Tuesday] we presented Hope house with a small donation of $3,000 as well as a couple of turkeys for Thanksgiving.
“Hope house is one of the many places in the community that was near Sherry’s heart, so this is why annually we always give something back to Hope House and the elderly residents and staff there.”
The event was led by Hope House board chairman, Rep. Larry Sanitoa, with Bishop Tumanuvao Kolio Etuale as the guest speaker.
He commended Bluesky for their donation and all Christians for taking care of loved ones.
As reported earlier, the Bluesky CEO said their company was fortunate Ms Sele was on their team for close to 20 years.
She passed away Oct. 9, 2022, at the age of 59.
"Sherry was so loved by all who knew and worked with her over the past 16 years at Bluesky Communications.
“Sherry was indeed the face, voice, and heart of Bluesky throughout the years.
“Sherry leaves a legacy as one of Bluesky’s great leaders for her unwavering work ethic, strength and tenacity, vibrant personality, love for the Bluesky team, deep passion for our customers and the community, and above all — her selfless heart,” said Tuiasosopo.
He told Samoa News yesterday, there is a continuous call for donations.
“Whatever you have to donate to Hope House whether it’s clothing, blankets, or towels,” the donations will be appreciated and well used.
Now is the perfect time because it is the spirit of Thanksgiving, he said.
