Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA —  Saturday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata released a statement observing PTSD Awareness Month (June) and PTSD Awareness Day (June 27):

“PTSD can be a difficult topic, and isn’t yet always fully understood. It’s important for people to know more about it, in order to be there for a friend or family member in need. PTSD can impact the lives of Veterans or others who’ve been through trauma, such as a severe accident or assault. Fortunately, there are treatment plans and ways to help. May God bless anyone dealing with symptoms of PTSD.”
