Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The LBJ Tropical Medical Center is making significant upgrades currently to the Dialysis Center that are aimed at enhancing the overall patient experience and ensuring the highest standards of care.

The improvements include the expanded waiting room and the installation of a new generator, aligning with the medical center's stated commitment to “delivering the best healthcare services to the community.”

A press release from the Medical Center details the improvements that include a waiting room upgrade, creating a more comfortable and welcoming space for patients and their families. The hospital will also be installing a roof over the drop-off zone, ensuring that patients arriving in vehicles are shielded from both rain and sun.

In addition to the waiting room upgrade, the installation of a new generator will provide uninterrupted healthcare services, especially during unforeseen circumstances such as power outages. “The generator ensures a continuous power supply to critical medical equipment, assuring that patient seeking medical treatment experience minimal to none disruptions and that the medical center remains fully operational in any situation,” according to the release.

Board Chairman, Dr. Malouamaua Tuiolosega, expressed enthusiasm for the upgrades, emphasizing, “My fellow Board of Director colleagues and I remain committed in investing in vital projects that our community greatly needs.
