Local Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council will meet in February
Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — National Marine Sanctuary of American Samoa’s Advisory Council will host a hybrid meeting (in person and virtually) at the Tauese P.F. Sunia Ocean Center sanctuary room, on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026 at 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend in person.
Items on the agenda include updates from partners, NMSAS presentations on Science, Ocean Literacy and Communications, and Facilities and Operations priorities. Those wishing to comment on agenda items may submit written testimonies at the Tauese P.F. Sunia Ocean Center in Utulei by Friday, Feb. 13, 2026.
Afterward, it is the submitter’s responsibility to provide sanctuary staff with the electronic documents for distribution to the council members in attendance. Written comments may be emailed to Gene.Brighouse@noaa.gov, or on the day of the meeting, oral testimony may be limited to three minutes per person, depending on time.
