More woes for TBAS customers

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The Territorial Bank of American Samoa has posted on its website a notice of a shutdown over the Easter weekend.

The notice advises that TBAS has scheduled a ‘required’ server maintenance project to begin the evening of Saturday, April 16 that will take all banking services offline for an extended period.

 “The bank recommends that all customers please take necessary steps ahead of this time to ensure you are prepared.”  The notice instructs that this “includes completing all food shopping, and ATM withdrawals prior to services being taken down.”

PLANNED OUTAGE

Date/Time: 7:30 p.n. Sat. April 16 through 12 noon Sunday, April 17, 2022

Duration: Approximately 16 hours

Service: Core Banking Server

During this time there will be extended system outage affecting all the following services:

            ATM for Territorial Bank customers only

            ° Debit Card Transactions

            ° Online Banking

            ° Mobile Banking

            ° Remote Deposit

This is necessary to staiblize increased system resiliency

The bank directs customers to contact the bank in person at either branch or by phone or email if you have any questions regarding the planned outage.

The bank ends the notice with an apology and posted their business hours — Monday through Friday 9a.m. to 3p.m.
