Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — At last week's cabinet meeting, Gov. Lolo Matalasi Moliga introduced new heads of ASG offices under his administration.

Among them are: Taliga Vaiolo, the new Territorial Energy Office director — replacing former director Ali’itama Sotoa, who left the directorship post a few months ago and American Samoa Environmental Protection agency executive director Fa’amao Asalele Jr., who has been acting since the passing of the late director, Ameko Pato.

Lolo also introduced Letitia Peau, as the new head of the Historical Preservation Office, which comes under the Governor’s Office. The governor explained that the previous head of this office, David Hederick, is working within the Governor’s Office, as a consultant to the Arts Council, Historical Preservation, and the Jean B. Hayden Museum.

Hederick is tasked with looking for funding and working with these entities of government, according to the governor.

The fourth new member is Sagatea Filoalii, who is the Workmen’s Compensation Commissioner, a post that has been vacant for a long time.

Lolo asked all cabinet members to support these new members.
