Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Port Administration has imposed restrictions for the Pago Pago International Airport terminal, effective Aug. 5th, saying that the new restrictions meet the department’s health and safety measures and U.S Transportation Security Administration regulations for the traveling public.

According to department’s mandate, the airport terminal will be restricted to: ticketed passengers only; a family member assisting their loved ones with check-in formalities for Medicaid referral patients /passengers; and adults who are accompanying minors traveling on a scheduled flight.

“Airport Law Enforcement officers will be enforcing this mandate” and “all unauthorized person(s),” will be asked to leave the Airport terminal, according to the directive.

Port Administration reminds the public that when entering the airport, face masks are required to enter — and must be properly worn, covering the nose and mouth — and must be worn at all times while at the airport facilities.

Any persons attempting to enter the airport facilities without wearing a mask will be denied entry.
