NGA selects Am Samoa to participate in “Improving Maternal and Child Health”

WASHINGTON — The National Governors Association (NGA) announced the selection of American Samoa to participate in the Improving Maternal and Child Health in Rural America Learning Collaborative. This significant recognition emphasizes American Samoa's commitment to enhancing maternal and child health outcomes within its territory.

The collaboration will bring together experts and stakeholders from American Samoa, alongside counterparts from Alabama, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, to tackle critical challenges in maternal and child health. Through shared insights, best practices, and collaborative efforts, the participating teams aim to drive meaningful improvements in healthcare delivery and outcomes.

NGA remains dedicated to supporting American Samoa's team throughout the project, facilitating robust collaboration, and providing resources to achieve project goals effectively. Moreover, the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP) will join forces with NGA, leveraging its expertise to enhance the impact of the collaboration.
