Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Yesterday, Jan. 8, 2025, power outages occurred across Tutuila island since 4pm due to bad weather — high winds and heavy rains, causing service to be interrupted. At 10pm, power was still off in the bay area while most areas in the Westside had been restored by 6pm. ASPA continues to work on downed power lines due to the high winds and fallen debris. Over the last three days power has been intermittent as the weather continues to be ‘rough’.
