Samoa has 3 Christmas Babies, none in American Samoa
Apia, SAMOA — Samoa’s 2021 Christmas babies born at the Tupua Tamasese Meaole (TTM) Motootua National Hospital in Apia are healthy and well.
Loralemoelefili Niko Filia of Fusi Saluafata had her baby boy at 12:06am. The 8 pound bundle of joy is Samoa’s first born Christmas Day baby.
We haven’t named him yet,” she says with a smile.
The second baby of Chirstmas Day was born at 1:50am also at TTM hospital to Tavai and Tavita Toilolo of Faleasiu and Solosolo.
Proud father Tavita Toilolo is a Bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS) at Solosolo.
“I am so thankful to God that both Mom and Baby are well and healthy,” said Bishop Toilolo.
Samoa’s third baby was born at Lalomanu District Hospital at 2:25am. Hospital staff confirm that there were no babies at born at Tuasivi hospital.
