Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — In line with Disability Awareness Month in the territory, the Department of Health confirms that a parent forum will be hosted by the SPED Advisory Council and its partners, chaired by Director of Health, Motusa Tuilaeama Nua.

The Parent Forum will be held at the Veterans Affairs Memorial Center, today, March 23 from 10am to 12noon.

This month's theme is "Moving Towards Change", supporting issues such as inclusion, accessibility, education and health equity.

“The forum will be a Q&A session focusing on addressing the challenges and opportunities that parents of children with disabilities face in our community. Our panelists will consist of service providers for individuals with disabilities and advocates.

“Your presence at the forum would be invaluable in providing greater exposure and awareness to the issues surrounding disability in our community, what our families are facing, and the resources available to address their needs.
