Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Rep. Larry Sanitoa shared with Public Works director, Faleosina Voigt, this photo that shows a large pool of water engulfing the concrete basketball area in front of the Nu’uuli Vocational Technical High School main office.
“As you can see, it is flooded and unfortunately the stagnant water is not receding at all. Given the heavy downpour these past weeks, the cesspool has become a safety and health hazard for the school — especially the students,” wrote Sanitoa.
“Fa'amolemole, requesting your immediate assistance to have the engineering team assess the problem and determine a solution,” he wrote to Voigt.
