Swains Islanders meet to select Fono delegate

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Rep. Su’a Alexander Eli Jennings is heading back to the local House of Representatives for a ninth consecutive two-year term as the Swains island delegate after he regained his seat during a “special meeting” of Swains islanders late Tuesday afternoon at the Election Office in Tafuna.  

This is the first results of the 2020 general election, while the rest of the other 20-elected members of the House will learn their fate next week after the Nov. 3rd general election.

Su’a, who received the majority vote, via a show of hands, went up against Penieli Baker and Bert Thompson.
