Tafuna, AS  — The yearly JROTC Air Rifle meet is a competition looked forward to between all local public high schools and Kanana Fou, the only private school with a JROTC program.

The JROTC curriculum Marksmanship course educates cadets on the safe and responsible use of firearms through its gun safety and practical hands-on-training in which cadets have to score a perfect score to make the Air rifle team and the opportunity to compete against other programs in the annual air rifle competition.

More importantly, the JROTC Marksmanship Program instills in cadets the importance of paying attention to rules and instructions, discipline and hard work, both individually and as a responsible team member.

The school year 2020-21 American Samoa JROTC Air Rifle competition was hosted by MAJ Siimoa Galoia, MSG Acania Puletasi, SFC Lei Solaita and the cadets of Tafuna High School. 5 schools competed with the Warriors from Tafuna taking the overall win!

2.    Fagaitua HS

3.    Kanana Fou HS
