Trouble in Samoa News parking lot

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — A man was arrested and taken into custody by police officers yesterday morning at the Samoa News office in Fagatogo after he yelled profanities outside in the parking lot.

It was about 10:30a.m yesterday morning when a woman ran into the Samoa News office (on the 2nd floor of the building) for help while a man was following her. The man was shirtless when he chased the woman. The man did not enter the SN office . He went back to the parking lot where the car was parked. Several eyewitnesses were watching while the man was yelling profanities and at the same time acting violently.

He then walked back to the SN office but was told by a Samoa News employee not to enter the office. Police were notified immediately and ten minutes later, three police units with five police officers arrived at the scene and the man was immediately apprehended and taken to the Fagatogo Central Police Station for further investigation. The victim told police that the man is her boyfriend.
