Tuilaepa, on island with Manu players for fundraiser

Former Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi shared a light moment with StarKist Samoa Plant Director/General Manager Injoo Ha during Tuilaepa’s brief visit with players and officials of the Manu Samoa Rugby Union to Starkist on Friday, June 23, 2023.

As chairman of the Lakapi Samoa (Samoa Rugby Union) Board of Directors, Tuilaepa and the Manu Samoa delegation were on island for their radiothon fundraiser for 2023 Rugby World Cup later this year in France.

Manu Samoa 7s and 15s players performed the siva tau when they visited employees at the StarKist Packing Room. The Manu Samoa had a fundraising tent at StarKist with the main location at the Suigaula o le Atuvasa Fale Samoa in Utulei.

A majority of the Manu Samoa delegation departed on Saturday, June 24, but a few including Tuilaepa are scheduled to depart American Samoa on Monday, June 26, 2023.
