![The NOAA ship Rainier has been commissioned for seven months to survey the waters around American Samoa and the Pacific Remote Island Areas. They will be mapping the ocean bottom and measuring climate change and the damages to our shores and coral reefs. Local Leaders were given a tour on March 24 where the crew explained the ship’s mission.
