Governor and delegation travel to Samoa for meet up with Prime Minister
Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The Samoa Observer has confirmed that Governor Pulaali‘i Nikolao Pula has arrived in Samoa, accompanied by First Lady Lois Pula, and their delegation.
The delegation arrived at Faleolo International Airport on Thursday, July 30, and was welcomed by Samoa’s Prime Minister La‘aulialemalietoa Leuatea Fosi Schmidt.
Governor Pula and Prime Minister La‘auli met in Apia at 12 pm, with details of the meeting yet to be confirmed, according to the Observer.
A full statement is expected, but was not issued at press time.
Governor Pulaali’’i was last in Samoa in March 2026, when he led a delegation that met with Prime Minister La‘auli at the Cabinet Chamber.
The discussions at that time focused on the relationship between Samoa and American Samoa, including future cooperation between the two jurisdictions.
