Pastor cautions against Stigmata miracle claims

A prominent Pentecostal pastor has cautioned Christians against rushing to judge a young woman who claims to be carrying the marks of Jesus Christ’s suffering.Speaking to the Sunday Samoan, Pastor Samoa Unoi, of the Peace Chapel Church, said that while he doesn’t want to judge the young woman, he doubts that what has been described as a ‘miracle’ is in line with the word of God.“It is not a sign from the Lord,” he said. “What I’m saying is based on the scriptures and my general understanding of the Bible and the word of God.” In making the point that what has been revealed is not consistent with the Bible, Pastor Unoi referred to the Old Testament when Moses was ordained by God to free his people from Pharaoh. Pharaoh said to Moses and Aaron to work a miracle, Aaron threw his staff down before Pharaoh and his servants, and it became a serpent. Pharaoh also called for the wise men and the sorcerer’s and also the magicians of Egypt, and they did the same with their secret arts. “Right from the scriptures there was always another spirit that goes against the spirit of God.”
