Tafuna High School football team ready to rumble in CA
Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The Tafuna High School Football Team is doing well in California preparing for their upcoming games, according to Head Coach Okland Salave’a, in an email, responding to queries from Samoa News about the team.
The team is seen here on the practice field at Buena Park High School, where they have been preparing to play California teams.
The THS Warriors are staying in Anaheim, California.
Head Coach Salave’a in his email explained, “So far, the students are enjoying there time … and are excited about the opportunity within the next few weeks to play the California teams, starting with the scrimmage on Friday, August 11th, playing against the Centennial High School from Corona, CA.
“Other scheduled games are on the 18th with Warren High School and 25th with El Camino High School.”
He said that a lot of alumni, families and friends are reaching out to help and support the THS Team with meals and drinks during the practices.
John Mailo, one of the THS Football staff added, “We are in good hands especially with the help of our Parents Booster Club.
“We ask for your continued prayers for our young athletes as we embark on this journey.”
