Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Twenty-four high school graduates have received ASG scholarships to the American Samoa Community College and a short ceremony was held Tuesday at the local Education Department (ASDOE) to announce the recipients.

Education director, Dr. Ruth Matagi Tofiga said yesterday that the brief ceremony was held in two sessions — 9:00am and 11:00am — due to the number of high school recipients. Parents of the students were also in attendance.

Dr. Matagi-Tofiga and Scholarship Board chairman, Sen. Fai’ivae Godinet congratulated the students and we “encourage them to stay focused and stay the course especially during these times of uncertainty.”  CONGRATULATIONS.
