Key Reef Species Project

The American Samoa Life History Otolith (fish ear bones) and Gonad training by Cassie Pardee and John Wiley of Poseidon Fisheries research is an ongoing research project collaboration with the Department of Marine and Wildlife Resources. The project is focused on local key reef species to determine their specie’s life history, in regard to their age and size at maturity. The crucial information will provide valuable insights on species growth and maturity. [photo: DMWR]
