Washington, D.C. — Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is happy to announce a second prestigious Service Academy acceptance for Michael Sun, as he has been accepted to the U.S. Naval Academy. He had previously received an acceptance from the U.S. Military Academy, giving him two excellent opportunities to consider.

“Congratulations once again to Michael Sun,” said Congresswoman Amata. “He now has fully qualified appointments to either the Naval Academy in Annapolis or the Military Academy at West Point. This is a fantastic outcome for Michael that represents a lot of hard work. Congratulations again to his proud parents, ZhenDong Sun and LiDong Zheng, along with South Pacific Academy.”

Michael earned excellent grades throughout high school, and stood out with superb test results on both the SAT and the ACT. In addition to academic qualifications, all those offered an appointment by a Service Academy must also demonstrate a range of extracurricular activities, volunteering or other roles showing leadership and motivation.
