Bluesky Communications Company held a dedication ceremony yesterday morning for their newly renovated ground floor store at the Laufou Shopping Center in Nu’uuli.

Bluesky Communications, Senior Consultant, Pulelei’ite Li'amatu Tufele Jr. welcomed honored guests and others who attended the event “on behalf of our General Manager Filifotu as well as our family here at Bluesky Communications – to our partners, families and friends, especially to the people of American Samoa and our customers…”

Pulelei’ite said, “As always, we celebrate all good things in prayers, and we conclude by giving thanks to our Heavenly Father.”

The celebration began with a musical selection provided by employees of Bluesky, followed with an opening prayer and blessings offered by Father Vaiula Kolio of the Pago Pago Diocese.

Given the honor to cut the ribbon for the newly renovated store was Bluesky’s Human Resources Manager Jeannette Yamasaki, who received special recognition from the company for her long time service and dedication.

Pulelei’ite said during his remarks, that the honor of cutting the ribbon was offered to the person who has put the longest time, effort, dedication, and knowledge, into the betterment and forward movement of their company. He acknowledged on behalf of the company her service and dedication to the company.

“Just so you know, Jeannette Yamasaki is one day, four hours, and five minutes ahead of me in terms of employment and providing service here at Bluesky Communications,” Pulelei’ite added.

Following the cutting of the ribbon, Bluesky employees and customers were welcomed into the newly renovated store for a tour.

With everyone inside the store, Father Vaiula then proceeded with the blessing ceremony, saying, “In order to continue this service, I would like to continue with the blessing with the sprinkling of the Holy Water – it is a symbol of faith, the water was blessed in church, so that whatever we do and in anything we accomplish, all shall be blessed, and will be blessed by the Lord… With the intention that all will be good in the name of our Lord.”

Following the blessing ceremony, Pulelei’ite acknowledged and thanked everyone for attending the dedication ceremony, as well as those who played a part in helping renovate the store.

Special thanks also went out to the Forsgren family, for allowing Bluesky Communications to use the shopping center’s grounds for the ceremony.
