Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Rosemarie Davenport, daughter of Matauaina and Cliff O'Brien (Tafuna), retired Fire Chief of American Samoa, shared some good news. She recently was invited to Washington, D.C., to receive the 2023 Leader of the Year Award from Hilton Worldwide, an event hosted at the Waldorf Astoria in DC, one of the Hilton properties.

Hilton said Rosie's team metrics are outstanding with a 49.5 conversion average. She has also focused on enhancing Hilton Grand Vacation (HGV) metrics, achieving an 8.2% increase since June 2023. Rosie is a champion of inclusivity, serving as a team lead for Allyship within HRCC and advocating for diversity and accessibility.

She volunteers as a Training Coordinator for The Call, educating and empowering parents interested in leadership, dedication to excellence, and her commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives made her a highly deserving candidate for the 2023 Hilton Reservations & Customer Care (HRCC) Leader of the Year Award.
