Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — In response to the usual busy travel summer months, Hawaiian Airlines is adding 13 extra flights for the summer months this year.

Hawaiian spokesperson Ann Botticelli confirmed to Samoa News on Friday that the extra sections will operate on Tuesdays starting on June 5 to Aug. 28. Flight times will the same as the current two weekly flights arriving and departing Pago Pago at night on Mondays and Thursdays.

The Honolulu-based carrier adds extra flights during the busy summer travel months, as local residents head to the US for vacation, while Samoans living in the US return home for a visit. July is extra busy with delegates attending church conferences here and in Apia.
