Washington, D.C. — Congresswoman Uifaatali Amata is highlighting Public Health Thank You Day, which recognizes on the Monday before Thanksgiving, the year-round efforts of public health professionals.

“Thank you to all our public health professionals in any aspect of these services,” said Congresswoman Amata. “Public health services are an important safety net for our community, assisting our most vulnerable or helping any of us in an unexpected health need.

“Thank you doctors, nurses, administrators, volunteers, pharmacists, emergency medical responders, and any associated workers making sure our medical facilities are there for us. Public health includes response to disasters and diseases, proper use of medicine and medical devices, and countless ways to help keep us safe and healthy. Thank you!”

House Concurrent Resolution 124, led by Rep. Rob Wittman (R-VA) with bipartisan support, officially commends public health professionals on November 23, 2020.
