Samoa repatriation flight from Pago Pago to Apia on Friday

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Samoa Airways announced over this past weekend that it was scheduling one-repatriation flight for Samoan nationals and cargo from Pago Pago on Friday, Apr. 30th, departing American Samoa at 1:45p.m arriving in Apia on May 1st.

For registration on this flight, the Samoa government owned airline said travelers are to contact the airline’s local office at 699-9126 or 699-9127.

“All passengers will require their medical clearance and negative COVID-19 tests 48 hours prior departure,” the airline said in a notice posted on its Facebook page.

It wasn’t immediately clear at press time if this flight would bring in passengers from Samoa.

Under the current COVID-19 declaration, all scheduled flights in and out of American Samoa  remain suspended and the Governor and Lieutenant Governor may authorize flights based on the needs of the territory. Passengers of any permitted flight must comply with entry requirements and any additional requirements contained in the governor’s or lieutenant governor’s written authorization
